L&Q Hosts Summer Viewing Day Event at Croydon Development

For property-seekers looking to secure a new and affordable home in a South London hotspot, L&Q hosted a viewing day event on Saturday 20th July at Addiscombe Oaks in Croydon, a development which offers a wide range of Shared Ownership apartments on the doorstep of many amenities and transport links.

Guests at this event, located just a few minutes’ walk from East Croydon railway station, had the opportunity to speak to the L&Q sales team, learn more about the development and Shared Ownership, and be one of the first to tour a brand-new show home launched on the day. Complimentary refreshments were available to all guests.

There’s also an incentive for reservations at Addiscombe Oaks running throughout July – an Ikea voucher worth £3,500 on two-bedroom homes, and one worth £4,000 for three-bedroom homes.

The new two-bedroom show apartment is a perfect example of the specification of the Shared Ownership homes for sale at Addiscombe Oaks. Thanks to specialist interior designers Suna, guests were able to see the potential of buying a ‘blank canvas’ new build home and putting their own personal stamp on it when they move in.

All the properties at Addiscombe Oaks benefit from a private outdoor space accessible from the spacious, open-plan kitchen/dining/living area. The well-designed kitchens feature stainless steel splashback and a range of integrated appliances including oven, ceramic hob, extractor, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There’s also a free-standing washer/dryer located in a store cupboard off the hallway. Bathrooms and en-suites feature white sanitaryware, chrome fittings, full height and width mirror, and neutral-shade ceramic tiling to walls and floors. All other rooms have carpet or flooring as standard. Primary bedrooms come with a fitted wardrobe.

The homes offer underfloor heating and LED lighting, helpful for first-time buyers eager to keep monthly costs low - and the use of air source heat pumps (ASHP) is a big step forward in sustainability. Lighting of the private outside spaces also incorporates photocell technology. Fuel-free travel is encouraged with communal bicycle storage for every home. The residents-only gardens are a tranquil, landscaped place to relax.

An array of amenities, retail options and wellness facilities nearby make Addiscombe Oaks a well-served, vibrant place to live. Amongst the many places within a few minutes of homes are BOXPARK, the Whitgift Shopping Centre, Surrey Street Market and the world-class sports centre at Croydon College. Nuffield Health Gym can be reached in 11 minutes on foot and being in the catchment area of Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ primary schools is ideal for young families.
